Scope 1

For scope 1, direct emissions are calculated from the combustion fuel, fugitives and chemicals that are directly related to the sites or to offsite equipment.

What is included

For each site directly controlled by the legal entity, are included in scope 1:

direct emissions from fuel combustion in stationary equipment
direct GHG emissions generated during the manufacture of chemicals, such as aluminum, adipic acid, and ammonia, as well as from waste processing
direct emissions linked to registered fugitives - emissions from fuel / chemical / fugitive / biofuel consumption from off-site equipment
