Downstream Transportation
All downstream transportation that happens after the processing or manufacturing by the company and after the point of sale up to the end consumer.
It includes only transportation which is not paid for, owned or operated by the company. This could be for example if the customer pays for shipping, but it also includes transportation that happens afterwards. For example, if you ship goods to your customer which is an online store and they ship your product to the end customer, that shipment should also be reported.
If your company is a retail store, you can include the distance that the customers drive to your store.
What is included
- Transportation not paid for by your company.
- Distance consumers travel to purchase your goods.
- Delivery to consumers that is not paid for by your company.
What is not included
- Transportation before the point of sale from you to your direct customer.
- Transportation paid for by your company.
